Graphical Network Configuration System-config-network
- System->Administration->Network
- Activate/Deactivate interfaces
- Assign IP Addresses/DHCP
- modify DNS setting
System-config-network provides a graphical interface for managing
all of the network setting on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux system.To run it,select System->Administration->Network.

Double click a network connection to view its properties.Most changes are made on the first tab.Once all changes are compete,click OK.Changes to DNS and static hostesses are made on the last two tabs.
Changes do not take effect immediately.The changes must fist be saved,by clicking File->save.Next they must be activated by cycling the interface. Click the Deactivate button followed by the Activate button to load the changed.Changing setting does not require a reboot.
